Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Filters for Air Scrubbers
AFU CO2 family of carbon dioxide replaceable filters based on soda lime or chemical absorbents which capture the carbon dioxide up to capacity declared. The filters can be changes when their absorption capacity is reduced. This can be monitored by CO2 detectors.
The ARC CO2 includes various carbon dioxide filters which can be installed as part of air filtration units, air regeneration systems and scrubbers in shelters and protected areas as well as other industrial applications.
Spare filters should be kept sealed, and the used filter can be easily replaced in seconds.
In closed spaces, and definitely in a shelter in close-up mode, with no\little fresh air supply, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) will gradually build up to dangerous levels.
CO2 can become a “silent killer”, as you are not affected immediately. A person may feel a little headache or dizziness, later on he may faint, and death cases only happen after long hours (but if the person is unconscious, he cannot stop this process).
The AFU CO2 1500L filter has capacity up to 1500 liters of CO2.
An average “resting” person produce 20-30 litters of CO2 per hour.
To calculate the how many filters you will need, you should multiply: (number of persons) X (>20 liters) X (number of hours).
The volume of the closed space should also be considered to ensure sufficient recirculation of the air and prevent “CO2 pockets” in the room.
