Blast Dampers for Protected Facilities and Industry
Blast dampers are used in ventilation systems to prevent the blast wave through external walls into the building. They are designed with high ventilation capacity. The dampers can protect people and equipment from explosions or momentary pressure change (e.g. tornadoes, etc.). When an explosion occurs, the valve will close instantly under the action of the shock wave; when the shock wave disappears, the valve will be automatically restored. They are mainly used in refineries, oil & gas, nuclear power plants and some other facilities which are at risk of explosions. They are installed on the air openings (air inlet and air outlet) of the facilities.

UZS-1 Blast Damper
UZS protective section designed to protect ventilation devices of special-purpose buildings from the effects of a shock wave of long duration with a pressure up to 10 kg/cm² (1000 kPa).

MZS Blast Damper
MZS protective section designed to protect ventilation devices of special-purpose buildings from the effects of a shock wave of long duration with a pressure up to 10 kg/cm² (1000 kPa).

MZS Blast Damper Assembly (Flange Mounting Case)
MZS assembly includes MZS blast damper installed in the special metal casing that includes flange with opening of 200 mm diameter.
The steel casing protects the MZS blast damper from mechanical and weather damages with option to install electric heating wire preventing freezing.

UZS-8 Blast Damper - Emergency Hatch
UZS-8 is an assembly that includes UZS-1 blast damper installed in the special metal casing and can be used as an emergency hatch.
