Vacuum Relief Valves

Atmas provides industrial vacuum relief valves manufactured by Philadelphia Safety Devices for the protection of vessels and process systems exposed to damaging vacuum conditions.
Designed for reliable low-pressure relief performance, these valves help protect industrial equipment from structural damage caused by excessive negative pressure during operation, shutdown, or process upset conditions.

Applications:

PSD vacuum relief valves are commonly used on:

  • Dust collectors

  • Cyclones

  • Dryers

  • Silos and storage vessels

  • Pneumatic conveying systems

  • Bulk material handling systems

  • Industrial process vessels

  • Air handling equipment

Key Features:

  • Adjustable vacuum settings

  • Durable industrial construction

  • Corrosion-resistant components

  • Reliable low-pressure operation

  • Compact installation footprint

  • Available in multiple sizes

  • Serviceable design

  • Manufactured in the USA

How It Works

Vacuum relief valves remain sealed during normal operating conditions. When internal vessel pressure drops below the valve’s designated set point, the valve opens automatically to allow atmospheric air into the system.

This controlled pressure equalization helps prevent:

  • Vessel collapse

  • Structural deformation

  • Equipment damage

  • Process interruptions

Once pressure conditions normalize, the valve automatically reseals.

Built for Industrial Process Protection

PSD vacuum relief valves are engineered for demanding industrial environments where fluctuating process pressures may occur during material handling, airflow restriction, cooling cycles, or equipment shutdown.
Their adjustable design allows facilities to tailor vacuum protection requirements to specific operating conditions and vessel designs.
