CO2 / CO Filters

CO2 / CO filters are part of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide removal systems (scrubbers) or ventilation and air handling units which design to recirculate the air. Such filters are used for "scrubbing" the air removing the CO2 or converting the CO.

AFU CO2 Filters

AFU CO2 series includes various carbon dioxide filters which can be installed as part of a air filtration units, air regeneration systems and scrubbers in shelters and protected areas as well as other industrial applications.

CO2 filter usually consists high efficiency CO2 absorber for "scrubbing" the pulled by the blower trough the filter air.

The filters can be changes when their absorption capacity is reduced. This can be monitored by CO2 detectors.

The common calculation of CO2 liters (L) per one person staying in the shelter while in rest (without activity) is 20 L per person per one hour. For civil defence shelters for calculation of the required CO2 filter the following formula can be used: 20 L x max. number of people x hours of stay
Important notice: the air volume of the shelter may effect the time when CO2 concentration will start raising from basic values. The formula is not taking into consideration this parameter.
