AFU CO 70/90 - Carbon monoxide filter
AFU CO series are Carbon Monoxide (CO) filters designed to protect occupants from hazardous carbon monoxide gas. The filters contain a highly efficient catalyst which converts toxic carbon monoxide (CO) into significantly less harmful carbon dioxide (CO₂). This catalytic process helps maintain a safer breathing environment in enclosed and protected spaces where carbon monoxide may be present.
The AFU CO Series filters are designed to operate as an integral part of a complete shelter air filtration and ventilation system. To ensure reliable performance and maximum carbon monoxide removal efficiency, these filters require specific operating conditions, including adequate airflow provided by a high-performance blower, effective humidity control through air dehumidification, and appropriate air temperature management using heaters or coolers.
Depending on the application and threat environment, the system may also incorporate additional filtration stages and accessories to remove hazardous gases, toxic chemicals, radioactive particles, biological contaminants, and other airborne pollutants, providing comprehensive protection for occupants.
