CBRN FILTRATION SYSTEMS
BVNC - Overpressure Blast Valves
Overview
-
BVNC overpressure blast valves are normally closed valves designed to maintain the defined differential pressure level in the shelter by releasing the air when there’s a need to release air from the gastight shelter. They provide critical protection against external blast wave while maintaining defined overpressure level.
-
The valves are extremely durable and can withstand a wide range of temperatures and resistant to corrosion.
-
Simple Installation in new structures with pre-installed wall sleeves or retrofit flanges.
-
The valves can be equipped with pre-filter for removing dust particles, special case with flanges or connectors to the duct.
Highlights
Various company systems and components are tested and certified for SI 4570 standard by the Standard Institute of Israel or designed to meet technical requirements of different international standards.
Different company systems are approved by Civil Defence Command and various international organizations.
The systems are installed in tens of thousands of shelters around the world.

BVNC Blast Valves Series
Preparation for Installation of BVNC Valves
Definitions:
-
Air inlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for pulling fresh air from outside.
-
Air outlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for releasing air from the shelter.
-
Blast valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air inlet for protecting the internal space and the system components from blast wave pressure.
-
Overpressure valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air outlet for controlled release of air from the shelter and maintenance of overpressure levels in the protected space.
-
Flange – devices for connection of air duct or valves.
Wall Sleeve with Flange - for Casting in Concrete Walls
Wall sleeves are hollow pipes which are intended to be casted in shelter concrete walls for allowing passage of air from outside and inside. Wall sleeves are usually connected with flanges on the shelter side to allow simple connection of the blast valve, overpressure valve, gas tight valve, air duct, cable gas tight passages and more.
* wall sleeves are not included in the kit and can be purchased separately.

Retrofit Flange - for Installation with Anchors on Existing Walls
Retrofit flanges designed to allow connection of the blast valves and overpressure valves to existing walls in the perimeter of the shelter/ protected space. The flanges connected to the wall by special concrete anchors and have pre installed bolts for securing the valves with nuts.
* retrofit flanges are not included in the kit and can be purchased separately.
