CBRN FILTRATION SYSTEMS
SAFE 360
Overview
SAFE 360 is an advanced, compact and certified CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) air filtration and ventilation system especially designed for installation in small size protected spaces like safe rooms, residential shelters, bunkers, containers and more for providing fresh filtered air and creating protected environment in the intended area.
System components are tested and certified for SI 4570 standard by the Standard Institute of Israel.
Systems are approved by Civil Defence Command of Israel and various international organizations.
SAFE 360 are installed in tens of thousands of shelters around the world.

Specifications
-
Nominal airflow in filtration mode: 36 m3/h (CMH)
-
Nominal airflow in ventilation mode: 54 m3/h (CMH)
-
Electrical requirements: 100-230V AC (one phase) / 12 V DC (optional)
-
Manual backup included for continues operation of the system also in cases of electric outage.
-
Variants: floor-free (wall/hidden) installation
-
Recommended max. shelter size per system: 36 m3 (per system)
Main Components
SAFE 360 components can be placed under the decorative box on the wall. The components are safely stored until need to be connected to the preinstalled blast valve which protects the air opening.
-
CBRN filter (combined carbon + HEPA filter)
-
Electric Blower
-
Converter from DC to AC
-
Manual backup
-
Blast valve with prefilter
-
Overpressure blast valve with airflow indicator
-
Decorative case + wall mounting bracket
-
Clean air hose

Option I - Installation of the Components Box Aside of the Air Inlet
Installation in this option is possible only on suitable flanges which are below or leveled with the wall surface. Installation with retrofit flange is only possible in case it is installed in a niche.
-
Blast valve and other SAFE 360 components (beside the overpressure valve) are located under the decorative cover.
-
Overpressure valve should be located away of the main unit for effective air distribution.
-
The installation of blast valve and overpressure valve should be made on preinstalled 4-inch flanges (see below).

Dimensions and Installation Options
Preparation for Installation
Definitions
-
Air inlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for pulling fresh air from outside.
-
Air outlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for releasing air from the shelter. Blast valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air inlet for protecting the internal space and the system components from blast wave pressure.
-
Overpressure valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air outlet for controlled release of air from the shelter and maintenance of overpressure levels in the protected space.
-
Flange – devices for connection of air duct or valves.
Prior installation it is recommended to perform a pressure/gas tightness test to identify and treat the air leakage sources from the shelter perimeter. For proper operation of the system and creation of overpressure (positive differential pressure) inside, the shelter has to be airtight. Overpressure helps to prevent penetration of contamination through small cracks or opening in the shelter perimeter.
Wall Sleeves and Flanges for Blast Valves and Overpressure Valve Installation
Wall Sleeve with Flange - for Casting in Concrete Walls
Wall sleeves are hollow pipes which are intended to be casted in shelter concrete walls for allowing passage of air from outside and inside. Wall sleeves are usually connected with flanges on the shelter side to allow simple connection of the blast valve, overpressure valve, gas tight valve, air duct, cable gas tight passages and more.
* wall sleeves are not included in the kit and can be purchased separately.

Retrofit Flange - for Installation with Anchors on Existing Walls
Retrofit flanges designed to allow connection of the blast valves and overpressure valves to existing walls in the perimeter of the shelter/ protected space. The flanges connected to the wall by special concrete anchors and have pre installed bolts for securing the valves with nuts.
* retrofit flanges are not included in the kit and can be purchased separately.
