BVNO - Blast Valves

A large selection of blast valves which can be used civil defence shelters, industrial facilities and other applications. 

Tested and certified for SI 4570 standard by the Standards Institution of Israel and can be certified to other standards.

Approved by the Civil Defence Command of Israel and other international organizations and installed in tens of thousands of shelters around the world.

Overview

Blast valves are normally open valves which allow movement of air in regular operation and provide automatic closing action in case of incoming blast wave. The valves are designed for installation on ventilation openings or as part of the duct for protection of ventilation ways and internal spaces against destructive blast wave effects.

  • A large selection of blast valves for different airflows. The BVNO series includes valves with airflows in range 50-2900 m3/h (per valve, several valves can be installed for larger airflow).

  • Automatic double action valves designed to protect from positive and negative phases of the blast

  • The BVNO series was developed by Arconik for use in residential shelters, small bunkers, safe rooms and other protected spaces.​

  • The valves are tested and certified for compliance with technical requirements of SI 4570 standard (Air ventilation and filtration systems for shelter and protected spaces).

  • The valves were approved for use by Civil Defence Command and installed in tens of thousands of shelters around the world.

  • The valves are extremely durable and can withstand heat and corrosion.

  • Simple Installation in new structures with pre-installed (cast in concrete) wall sleeves with 8-inch flanges or retrofit installation on existing walls with retrofit 8-inch flanges connected to the wall with concrete anchors.

  • The valves can be equipped with pre-filter for removing dust particles, case and connecting flanges or connectors to the duct.
