AFU (Air Filtration Unit) Series of Advanced CBRN Filters
CBRN filters are commonly part of air filtration and ventilation systems or air handling units in civil defence shelters, bunkers, industrial facilities, security structures and more.
Atmas offers a wide range of filters designed for a specific or a wide spectrum of purposes like filtering the air nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) materials and particles, toxic industrial chemicals (TIC), dust and more.
AFU series includes a wide range of filters which comply with technical requirements of different international civil defence standards and can be installed as part of a air filtration units in shelters and protected areas.
CBRN filter (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear) usually consists several layers of filtration for different type of threats:
-
HEPA / ULPA filter layer – used for mechanical filtration of airborne biological particles like viruses and bacteria and more
-
Activated carbon layer used for adsorption of war gases and toxic industrial chemicals
-
In some filters coarse dust filter (pre-filter) can be part of the CBRN filter.
